With today’s technology, there are countless ways to start a relationship without ever having to meet the other person. You can have simple telephone conversations, online talks, and even web cam chats. You can start, build onto, and seal a committed relationship without ever being in the same room as a person, but all of that has its downfalls. When you’re participating in online personals, you have to actually be online. Although yes, it is still much easier than trying to find someone in the real world, there are strings that tie you down and take up your time.
I was discussing this with a colleague of mine the other day, when she pulled out her iPhone. She said it was the best thing she had invested into in a long time. When I think iPhones, I think taking pictures and reading books on, but she opened my  eyes to a whole new digital dating world with hers. She started dating someone online about 4 months ago, but because she travels so often for work, she didn’t always have time to meet him online and chat. They both bought iPhones and now can have webcam like chats anywhere, at any time.
The technology is just one more advancement in the digital dating world. Soon enough we’re going to be able to be free to talk to our matchanywhere, anytime, without any restrictions.
I think this is a wonderful advancement in dating. I’m not saying you should go out and by an iPhone, but if you have the means to do so, Â you should think about investing some of that into a medium akin to the iPhone. It will expand your digital dating experience into something that will let you connect– literally and metaphorically– with your fling no matter where you are. Dating might feel like a hassle sometimes, but with changes like these, it’s about to get a lot easier.
