Flirting Online

People are always expressing their concern about flirting online to me. If you can’t do it in real life, how are you suppose to do it online? Well, the good news is, it’s easier to flirt online than it is in real life. You get to use your computer as a barrier between you and the person you’re talking with, so you don’t get the embarrassment of having to put yourself out there.

How do you stay relaxed? What do you do? There’s a few key things you can do to improve your online flirting, which will help you get a date with the one you want.

Be Playful! Online dating is there to have fun with people you have yet to meet. There’s not a big market for people logging on to Internet dating sites to discuss Hamlet and Othello. Stay relaxed and keep the conversation light. When an opportunity arises to be fun, take it!

Compliment Them. Like what they have on their profile? Do their arms look strong in their picture? Are the making you laugh? Let them know! Everyone likes to hear good things about themselves, so play it up.

Be Open. If he says something that you would find offensive coming from a stranger, remember this is someone you are trying to make a connection with, and he’s probably just trying to break the ice. Look at everything he says in a positive light.

Listen For Cues. If he says something that’s a little self-discriminating (“I love art, but I could never make a career out of it,”) let him know that you saw some of his work on his profile and you think he would do great! It’s much easier to shell out the compliments when you know what he wants to hear.

Be Confident! Aren’t sure what you’re saying is doing it for him? Just assume it is! The more confident you are, the better your flirting will come across.

You don’t have to be afraid of flirting in the online world. If the guy you’re talking to isn’t into it, then you can move onto the next! Relax, have fun, and get your flirt on.
