Cheating Myths
A lot of us cheat. If you have been dating through online personals for more than a minute, you know there are a lot of married people out there looking for sex. Cheaters, cheaters, cheaters. It’s ok. We are not all going to hell. Just relax. There’s a lot of misconceptions about cheating, and if we clear them up here, you might feel better.
Fidelity Hormones
Women with high levels of an ovarian hormone linked to fertility called oestradiol are more likely to cheat. A study out of the University of Texas found that women with high levels of this hormone were more likely to be dissatisfied with their primary partner and seek lovin’ elsewhere. However, these women weren’t all about casual sex, they were more likely to be serial monogamists. Researchers think that since these women are also highly fertile, they’re not easily pleased by the same old same-old partner, and are inspired to search for more desirable partners.
Cheating: No Sex Required
Scott Haltzman, a hot shot doctor professor guy at Brown University, says cheating can occur even without sex. Should we believe him? Emotional intimacy and sexual tension outside of the marriage can be considered cheating, if we want it to.
S/he Doesn’t Love You Anymore
Not necessarily so. Cheating doesn’t have to mean someone has fallen out of love with their partner. AÂ man might cheat because he wants to feel like a man again. A woman might cheat because she wants that spark of new desire. They both might cheat because they had too many tequila shots one night at that dive bar on the corner.
Hot & Young
You’re lucky if you find someone hot & young to cheat with. But that’s not necessarily what you’re going to go for anyways. Your partner might already be hot and young. People seek something their partner doesn’t have when they cheat.
